Only one chair from each professional category is
allowed to join the group. Membership Committee will have final authority
relating to classification conflicts. Unless members are part of the
membership committee in which case the Board will decide.
-
Only "primary" occupation will be represented.
Part-time businesses are not allowed.
-
Attendance is critical to the group. Meetings are
held on the first and third Tuesday of each month lasting no longer
than 90 minutes. No meetings are held on observed Holiday’s.
If a member cannot attend, they are responsible for letting someone
on the Membership Committee or Board know why they will not be able
to attend to qualify for an excused absence. An unexcused absence
count as 2 absences. A member is allowed three (3) absences every
three (3) months or during a Qtr. Additional absences will be reviewed
by the Membership Committee for discussion of future participation
in the group. If a member is concerned that his excused absences may
require missing more than 3 meetings, he may need to follow Procedure

CNG requires members to bring "qualified"
referrals and visitors to each meeting. (A referral is defined as
a notice the business/person is informed that you will be contacting
them. A "warm" intro is beneficial. A lead is defined that
a member’s business was not personally discussed with the decision
maker, however, there may be a possible opportunity.)
-
Visitors are allowed to visit a maximum of two meetings.
CNG agenda will be followed during meetings. One (1) member will have
the opportunity to spotlight their business during a 10-minute presentation
at each meeting. Speakers must bring a door prize ($10 value) (preferably
something to promote their business). Only members bringing a visitor
or passing a referral are eligible for the door prize.
-
A request for leave must be submitted in writing to
the Membership Committee. A member may take up to three (3) months
leave upon approval by the Membership Committee. Approval for additional
leave must be reapplied for and approved at the end of the initial
three months.
-
It is the member’s responsibility to file a
written concern with the Membership Committee if a visitor in any
way conflicts with a current member’s classification.
-
Members who wish to change classification must submit
a new membership application and receive approval from Membership
Committee for the change.
-
In case of problems concerning a member, Membership
Committee may, at their sole discretion, put a member on probation
relating to the member’s business practices or commitment to
the group.
-
A classification may be opened for failure to comply
with CNG’s policies and/or their Code of Ethics.
-
CNG membership lists are for the purpose of "giving"
referrals and not for soliciting members without their prior approval.
-
NO DISCUSSIONS, VOTING OR PROBLEM VENTING DURING
THE MEETINGS. Membership Committee will address complaints, deal with
personalities, resolve problems, address group issues and discuss
changes. Items presented to Membership Committee must be in writing.
When 2 or more members are involved in dispute or disagreement, each
side will be listened to separately. Membership Committee will attempt
to determine cause and solution.
